Twin Lakes Summer Camp

Early in June, the kiddos were super excited to go to Twin Lakes Summer camp!!
It was a milestone year being Amelia's last year as a camper (she ages out of this camp) and Addison's first year as a camper!
All three of the kids were counting down the days until they left and it was fun hearing Amelia and Luke explain to Addison all of the cool things they get to do - waterslides, water inflatables, archery, horseback riding, ropes courses, ziplines, and so much more!

So sweet.  Big sister walking little sister to her cabin!

One last picture of the three of them before I dropped them off to their separate cabins.  I made them promise to love on each other and be sweet to each other whenever they saw each other.  (Thankfully all three reported the same thing in their letters: that they hugged each other and were kind to each other, phew!)

Amelia and her buddy from tennis, Molly Bowen, were bunkmates this year.
Luke and Matthew Gordon were bunkmates again this year!

The camp takes pictures of the campers and puts them on their website so we can keep track of our kids.  I swear we would live and die by searching through the hundreds of pictures to see a glimpse of our kids.  I nearly cried when I saw this picture of Addison the first time because I was so relieved to see her and to see her smiling!!

Addison taking after her mommy with her basketball skills.

Luke loving the big inflatable water slide!

For some reason, Luke was in a ton of pictures this year!  It was fun to see all of his different activities.
Here he is crafting his initials into a leather bracelet.

Here he is doing???

More Luke!  This time at archery.

Amelia swimming in the lake with her cabin!

There is little bit conquering the ropes course.

AND THEN IT WAS FINALLY PICK UP DAY!!!  I WAS SO EXCITED TO SEE THE KIDDOS!!  I found Addison first and she looked happy and exhausted!

Then Amelia and Molly filtered in, yay!!

And then Luke, woo hoo!
It was so great to hug them and just lay eyes on them again after not talking to them for five days!
Then all the campers sing the parents songs and recite the bible verse they learned for the week and it was precious of course.

Yay!!! The rare Luke and Addi hug :)

And then it was time to drive my exhausted campers home for some much needed rest.
