Scholten Visit

The long awaited visit from our Minneapolis family, The Scholten's.  Here they are showing off their collected snail collection.

Thank goodness we had a beautiful November day so we hopped on the boat and headed to Deer Island for some exploring.

The kids found an old abandoned boat on the island which they thought was pretty cool.

We love Cousin Max!!!

Catching sand crabs.

Never to be outdone.

Next up-The Gator Ranch!  Look at the big monster right behind the kids, but now look further behind them at all the gators sneaking up behind them.  Creepy!  Everyone got a chance to hold the baby alligator (Addison was the only one who snuggled it up to her face and whispered "My precious").

Next up we all got to take an airboat ride.  It was a cool experience being able to go over the land and all through the bayous and the boats can spin on a dime.

Cool shot by Max:)

Back home meant more fishing.

How many people does it take to retrieve a crab trap?
It was a short visit but we crammed in a lot of fun.  The kids (and probably the adults too) were completely wiped out.  We loved having them all here and although it is never long enough we made lots of great family memories.
Come back soon Scholtens!

Happy Halloween

Our costumes were easy this year for our tennis club Halloween Party.  Top Gun!  We had all of it from Steve's time in the Air Force except for the Top Gun patches.

My tennis buds-Allison and Mary Claudia.

Trick or Treat!

Trick or Treating with the Neffs is a tradition since we have lived in Ocean Springs.  And Amelia needed her Thing 1!!

Fall Fun!

Luke's school celebrated Red Ribbon Week with a different theme each day.  Monday was Crazy Hair day and Luke wanted a mohawk.  After using all the product I had in the house-including gel, hairspray, pomade and some mouse that must have been left over from the 90's-this is what we ended up with.  Not quite a mohawk.  I told Luke it was a shark fin and he was cool with it.

Luke and his best buds, Braden and Gar, on their 2nd grade class picnic.

Look who won the Winn Dixie coloring contest!  She was so, so, so, so excited that she won:)

Addison also got asked by our toy store to dress as Fancy Nancy to celebrate Madame Alexander's birthday.  Addison would not hold the Fancy Nancy doll no matter how much she was bribed.

It was a big week for Addison...final soccer game and her very own trophy!!!
