Big changes for the girls!

Over spring break, Addison worked up the nerve to
GET HER EARS PIERCED!!
It only took holding my and daddy's hands, a few tears, a few, "wait, I changed my minds", a bribe of any cookie she wanted at food court, a bribe of any earrings she wanted from Claire's, a bribe of any stuffed animals she wanted at Claire's, and ta da!
Ears pierced.  As easy as that.  Sigh.
$150 later Claire's was probably super happy we showed up.

This is Amelia before braces :)

This is Amelia the day she got her braces :)
The day before she started 8th grade.

This is Amelia 19 months later!
Yay!  No braces!!

Happy Easter!

Poor Marlon and Mathew got woken up EXTREMELY early by Addison and Luke to hunt for Easter baskets!

Amelia really had to hunt for her basket's this year, ha!
Ever the teenager though, her phone is still firmly in her grasp.

Success!

After the kids found their baskets and snuck more candy than they were supposed to, it was time for brunch and church.

Happy Easter!
He has Risen!

Aunt Andrea and Addison :)
Grandpa and the grandkids!

After church we head to our friend's Easter celebration for more food and fun!
Nothing says Easter like some healthy competition including, egg toss, tug of war, sack races, kickball and lots more craziness!

Addison and Alden showing off their muscles after helping their team win tug of war.

Sack races!

Pass the orange, not using your hands!

Three legged race, go Aunt Andrea and Amelia!!
It was such a fun day!  The Camas family said that was the most fun they ever had at Easter!  The boys were thrilled!
We love you Camas Family and miss you already!

The Camas Family comes to visit!

We always love it when Aunt Andrea, Uncle Marlon, Marlon and Mathew come to visit us from California!
We had a great, relaxed visit and the kids had a blast!

Soccer on the beach!
Kids versus the adults!

Football at the park, boys versus dads!

Luke and Marlon!

Mathew and Addison!

Cousins!!!

Tennis Season 2018

Amelia's freshman season of tennis wrapped up with another win.

Amelia and Sophia with the win!

Freshman power!
Our JV team finished 11-0.
The tennis coach wrote us parents and said, "Great season from the JV Hounds and we are in a great position to continue the pursuit of excellence at Ocean Springs!"
Way to go Greyhounds!

Field Day

Addison had her last Oak Park field day recently, her class was raring to go!

Addison Kate and Ms. Dykes :)

The field day consists of the six third grade classes competing in relays together.
Then, to end field day, the dashes happen!

Before field day the PE coach has the kids run prelims to qualify to run at field day.
Addison was the fastest in her class so she represented her class in the finals at field day, against the five other classes.
And they were off!!

This is about 65 yards into the 75 yard race, she was in third place behind two girls that are both at least a foot taller than her.
She turned on the jets and pulled out second place.  Another two yards and she would have had first, it was a photo finish!
Proud of her little speedy self.
Great job Addison Kate!
