SPORTS!!

Well basketball season has officially wrapped up and I think I am in a little bit of a funk because of it.  I miss going to the games and cheering on the kids from the bleachers with all of the other parents.  It was so fun to see how much the kids improved this season!
This is Luke's team after their final game, we had a little party at the Mexican restaurant.
Good job Heat!

This is Addison's coach handing her the trophy for 1st place in the regular season for 7 and 8 year old basketball.
Her team, The Timberwolves, was undefeated!

So proud!

Addison's team was undefeated going into the March Madness tournament and was the number one seed!
They also remained undefeated in the tournament and won the whole thing!!!
The last game was a true nail biter and we won 19-16.  It went back and forth the whole game!

Yay Timberwolves!!

Amelia made the Ocean Springs High School tennis team as an 8th grader so we are super proud of her.
She has played 3 JV matches and won all of them so she is off to a good start so far.
My pictures are taken on the sly because I don't want to mortify her by taking pictures at a high school match!

Moving her feet!  Good girl Mimi!

Amelia and her partner Kate!  Way to go girls!
Addison recently played in a 10 and under tennis tournament and won 2nd place!
Way to go Addison!

Global Wildlife Center

The kids had Mardi Gras break recently and we decided to spend the day at The Global Wildlife Center.
IT BLEW OUR MINDS!!!
The Global Wildlife Center is the largest free-roaming wildlife conservation park in the country.  They have over 4000 animals and we got to have an up close, connection with all of them.
All five of us spent the whole safari ride belly laughing because the animals were very lovable and it was just so shocking.
We loved it!

All set for our safari!

The giraffes were truly awe inspiring.  And they were so graceful and sweet.

Petting the giraffes was just so amazing.
Some of them even tried to climb all the way into our jeep where we kept our giant bag of feed.

The Alpacas definitely had us all laughing hysterically.  They came sprinting at us from across the park and they have those floppy little haircuts and they were so clumsy.  We just couldn't stop laughing.  They wanted to eat and get pet and give kisses.  We could not feed them fast enough.

Alpaca kisses.

Addison getting a kiss from the alpaca.
I think Addison won the prize for having the most animal saliva on her when we were finished.  She was in animal heaven!

I don't remember what these were but they were very strong and would grab the cups if we didn't hold on tight.
They surrounded us!

Look at Addison struggling to hold on to her cup!

You can see them start to surround us here.  Amelia had them all around her and she was laughing so hard.

They finally cornered her to the bottom of the jeep!  Do you see her on the floor?

I think these were the giant bulls.
Each animal has to be fed a little differently.  Some like to eat it out of your hand, some like to dip their face in the cup, some like you to dump the food in.  The safari guide was great about letting us know how each animal preferred their food.

We couldn't get over the size of those tongues!!
You can also see how beautiful the wildlife preserve was from this picture.  Tons of open space for the animals to roam, lots of lakes and water holes.  It was over 900 acres.

Brand new baby!

So amazing!
We could not believe all the animals!

Addison of course is rubbing this big guys head like he is a little lap dog.

"Hi there buddy, you just want some kisses and love, don't you."
Addison gave more kisses than food.

Stephen caught this great picture of this reindeer surprising me!
He and I both have a shocked look on our face!
We had a such a fun day here!

Father Daughter Dance

Addison and Stephen recently attended the annual Father/Daughter dance.  Addison was once again super excited to spend special time with just her and her daddy.

The last sweet picture I got of Addison.
The following pictures are a much better representation of the true spirit of Addison Kate.  Each picture was taken within one second of the next and she threw out that many new poses.  Addison is always ready for a party or at least by the life of the party!

I mean really.  She is something.  Always cracking herself up.

Riding in the limo on the way to Gulf Hills Country Club.

Fancy dinner, fancy drinks, a candy bar and dancing with her daddy.  What's not to love?
What a lucky little girl to have such a fun and silly daddy!
