Luke's 1st Basketball Season

Luke finished his first basketball season and he LOVED it!  He is back to telling us that he is going to be a professional basketball player when he grows up.  Gotta love Luke's confidence.  I mean, he did make 4 baskets this season so watch out Stephen Curry!

Look at the tongue out!  Like Michael Jordan!

Getting some advice from a teammate on who to defend.

Luke definitely improved dramatically from the start of the season to the end.  His team did at well.  They just were learning to work together when the season was finishing but it was really fun to watch.

Coach Chad congratulating Luke.

Yay Luke!

Spring has sprung!

We had a very mild winter so spring has already sprung down here on the coast so we have been enjoying all of the pretty weather.
This swing is called The Swurfer and it is our new yard toy.  You ride it like a surf board and swing side to side.  You really get going high and it is super fun but takes great core strength to balance!

I recently took Luke and Addison mini golfing and they had a great time together!  (Amelia was on a confirmation retreat).  When forced to just play with each other, Addison and Luke can be great friends!  Ha!

This mini golf course just opened up by us which is fun!  The big rock looking thing behind the kids is a really huge volcano.  Just after I snapped a picture, the volcano EXPLODED and it shot out real fire and it was SO loud.  Both of the kids screamed and ran toward me terrified.  We all fell down laughing because it surprised us so much!!!

We continued our fun day hanging out on the beach!

The ice cream truck stopping by just made the day all that much more perfect!

Father Daugter Dinner Dance

Addison was SO excited for her first Daddy/ Daughter Dinner dance!  She was counting the days until she could wear her sparkly new dress and be with her daddy.  The dance is put on by the YMCA and they pamper the girls with getting their nails done and their hair done.

Addison loves her Daddy!

In the limo on the way to the banquet hall.

My cuties all ready for some Daddy/Daughter time.

Love these photo booth shots!
Addison has such a fun soul and thinks life is a party.  It is infectious and so fun when Addison is excited.  And she was thrilled with this whole night!  I received this email the night after the dance from the director of the Father/Daughter dance who Addison met that night.
So sweet for a stranger to take time out of her day to let us know she enjoyed Addison's spunk!

Hi Jenni, I just wanted to let you know what a wonderful and sweet little girl you have!  Addison made my very busy and hectic night special with all my hugs she gave me throughout the night!  My daughter Amber was working the photo booth that night and I was able to introduced Addison to her.  My daughter is 17 and will be leaving for Ole Miss after she graduates from OSHS, what I would give to have her 7 again!  I looked for Addison to say goodnight but she had already gotten into the limo headed back to the Y.  I hated that I was unable to tell her bye and to ask her how her special night was.  I sure hope she and her daddy enjoyed themselves!!  Please tell her Hi for me and that I am so glad I got to meet her!  If you are in the Y again with her please ask the front desk to call me and I will come downstairs to see her.  J
