Junior year Homecoming Dance

After all the spirit week fun, it was time for the Homecoming Dance!
Oh, there was a football game that happened too ;)

Beautiful Amelia Grace.

She got home from her hair and make up appointment and she looked so stunning, I got tears in my eyes and gasped!

Lots of friends came by the house to take pictures together and then they all went out to dinner before the dance.

Amelia and her date, Josh:)
The corsage he picked out for Amelia was beautiful.

Amelia did not stab him with the boutonniere so that is good news!

Lots of great kids in this bunch!

Amelia and Ashleigh!

Josh even offered to take off his ever present sunglasses.
So sweet, these two.

Mckenzie and Amelia!
Amelia definitely towers over Mckenzie after years and years of Mckenzie being taller than Amelia!

Josh LOVES sunglasses, I think he has about 50 pairs.
So, of course we needed some pictures of them in their shades looking so hip.

Good friends are the best.

Sweet girls.
Have fun kiddos!

Homecoming Week!

Homecoming week is always a fun time to show school spirit!
Hippie day!

Senior Citizen Day, my favorite.
So funny.

Grease Day (50's day)
Addison is wearing the poodle skirt I wore for my 5th grade dance recital :)

We were all set for the Homecoming Parade to begin!
Both Amelia and Luke were riding on floats in the parade which was lucky for Addison because she got tons of throws from all of her sibling's friends!!

Luke and his "friend" Emma Kate :)
Luau Day!

Grandma and Grandpa visit

Grandma Nancy and Grandpa Jon recently came for a visit and the kids had a fun time hanging out with their grandparents :)

A relaxing boat ride on the Back Bay and Bayou.

Happy 14th Birthday Luke!

What other way would you want to celebrate turning 14 than with a giant, smoking, watermelon drink?
Addison was mesmerized!
Luke wanted to go to the Sugar Factory for his birthday dinner.
We had a super fun time with enough sugar to last for a month!

My Baby Luke is 14 years old!
We love you so much Luke!
Time to open presents!
(I only included this picture because Addison cracked me up watching him open presents with a Bears helmet on)

Yay! Baseball cards and a photo bomb from your big sister!

I had to wrap a whole lot of Bears presents this year, it was painful for me.
Ha!

They are forever pinching and/or dead legging each other, sigh.

More Bears gear!

His other big love, LSU!

There was a theme this year!

And the biggie, a trip to Chicago with Daddy to see the Bears/Saints game!

The next day Luke had his buddies come out to Horn Island with us, followed by a sleepover up in the guest house!

I love all these boys!
We are so blessed beyond measure with the groups of friends our kids have chosen.

It was a miracle I got "one" nice picture because the majority of the time was spent dunking and drowning each other.

Still like "little boys" building castles and catching crabs.
I love the paradise we live in!  What an amazing birthday!
Luke we love the young man you are turning into and you have made our life so full, we love you always and forever!
