Christmas Day

After the kids enjoyed opening their presents from Santa and ate a delicious breakfast we had the whole day to relax while Daddy had to go to work in the ER.
The kids clearly kept themselves very busy.

The dogs had the same idea I did, put on a cozy sweater and nap.
The kids were counting the minutes until Stephen came back home because then we got to move to the living room where all the "family" presents are.
Poor Stephen barely had time to change out of his scrubs and it was back to present time!
Thank you everyone, Aunts and Uncles and Cousins and Grandparents!!
These kiddos are very blessed to have this many people think of them at Christmas, we love you all!

Luke made us this sculpture in school with some of our favorite teams painted on it.

The kiddos picked out A LOT of Star Wars stuff for Daddy this year.

This series of pictures makes me laugh so hard every time I look at them. Stephen always calls Amelia Chewbacca because of her thick hair and makes the Chewy sound.  Well look at what she got for Christmas from us!!
She was laughing so hard, she was crying which was making all of us laugh so hard we started crying.

Still laughing...

So so funny.  You can push him and he makes the Chewbacca noise too!

Stephen told me this was his all time favorite present ever!
It was definitely my favorite reaction from him ever!
It is a virtual reality Jedi light saber system.

I've never seen Stephen get that excited about any gift so that was super fun to see.
I guess he liked it better than the Nike running shirts or sweaters I usually get him, ha!
Or the pajama pants he is wearing in the picture which were a past present.  Man.  No wonder he was so excited.

Addison made us this precious gingerbread ornament at school.

Again, one of my favorites!
This is the present Luke shopped and bought for Addison.  He is just as excited and happy about giving it to her as she is getting it.  Warms my heart that they actually DO love each other.

More sibling hugs are always a good thing.

Something else that Addison was SUPER excited about getting!

Luke got an apple watch and was speechless!

Addison again, showing her approval over the present she got from Mommy and Daddy.
The theatrics in this girl, I swear.

I think she liked it! Ha!

And done.
Merry Christmas everyone!

Christmas morning

Merry Christmas!!
I caught Addison and Luke VERY early, peeking at all the gift tags.

We eventually let them wake up Amelia too because Stephen was scheduled to work at 8am.

Luke got A LOT of new hats this year!!!

Addison was just a teeny bit excited to open a "Chubby Puppy" set.

Santa must have known Luke's favorite Cubs socks had been worn so many times that they had multiple holes, Santa got him a brand new pair!  And a Cubs fidget cube which is perfect for our always moving, Luke.

Go Cubbies!

Addison was very excited about her fox onesie and fox slippers!

Something cozy for Amelia.

I love looking at the pictures when they open gifts, and seeing the sibling as excited as the recipient of the gift.  Addison is just as excited as Luke!

Amelia showing off her new Unicorn onesie :)

Our pets were not forgotten either!
Rudolph got the doggies new sweaters and toys and Gizmo got a new treat toy too!

Wrigley and Sadie showing off their new sweaters!

Christmas Eve

The girls and their curls were very excited to start welcoming our friends to the Christmas Eve party!

Yay me and Nell!
We conquered another Christmas Eve party :)

I must have been fellowshipping too much this year because I did not get nearly as many pictures.
I managed a few of the girls with some of their friends but none of Luke at all!
He was there, I promise but they were outside playing football and ping pong and I never made it out there I guess.

Addison and her 3rd grade buddies.

Amelia and her friends are getting old...teenagers!
Some traditions still continue even as the kids get bigger.  We definitely still sing Happy Birthday to Jesus when we have the cake and even the big kids joined in.  We have a whole new generation of little ones at the party now, time just keeps marching on I guess.

Luke, Mckenzie, Amelia, Hayden and Addison
Love.

Merry Christmas Eve!

After church, all ready for bed and sugarplums dancing in their heads.

Santa came!
