NYC Day 5

We spent Day 5 at the American Natural History Museum.  The kids were excited about this museum because they have seen the movie Night at the Museum many times!
This museum is so massive, it was really unbelievable!  So, we were there almost the entire day.  We did the planetarium exhibit, the butterfly exhibit and the exhibit on our senses, as well as all of the exhibits that are always there like the civilizations, dinosaurs, marine life, birds, etc.
Butterfly room, Luke has a friend on his shoulder.
And I am now noticing Luke must have decided to skip the hair brushing this particular morning.

Amelia has a friend on her head.

The kids looked forward to finding this statue from the movie!
"GIVE ME SOME GUM GUM, YOU DUM DUM!!!"

Room after room after room of dinosaur bones.

After the day at the museum we decided to go see the balloons get blown up for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade.
This was such a fun event to see and I highly recommend it!
The security all throughout New York while we were there was intense.  Three to four police on every corner, we felt very protected.  The kids particularly liked the police on horses near Central Park.
Here we are watching the balloons get blown up!

It was a little chilly I guess, ha!

This picture made me laugh, it was unfortunate placing of Addison.  Whoops.
It was the Elf on the Shelf but I guess I should have taken the picture near his head.

My favorite!  The Pillsbury Dough boy!

After seeing the balloons we enjoyed dinner and then let the kids ice skate in Rockefeller Center!

What a fun memory!

Luke zipping by me!

Amelia was a great big sister sticking by Addison until Addison remembered how to ice skate!
Then they all were zipping around the rink.

The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree!

The Christmas decorations all around New York were so beautiful and elaborate.  It was such a fun time of year to visit.
This display behind the kids danced and moved to the music, it was so pretty.
