Remodel update

We are about two months into our renovation and sometimes it is good for me to post these pictures so I can see how far we have come.  It is a great reminder for me to look at the progress so I can look past the constant dirt, dust, rubble and chaos we are currently living with.
The above picture is the start of the screened in porch.  They had to dig through the cement to place the footings.

The kids (yes that is cousin Max) watching the cement be poured into the new breezeway and garage floor.  How welcoming for our house guests to have a giant cement mixer back into our front yard.  Sigh.
What fun is living through a construction project at your house unless you can make your mark?

Marked forever with my loves hand prints.

Yay!  Screened in porch is coming together!  And some of the new windows were placed in the blue room.  The ones without mullions are the new windows.  Makes the view of the water even more beautiful.

Our new front door is finally in place...kind of.  A lot of brick had to be removed and now we are waiting on the brick guy but we are also waiting on our Old Chicago brick to be delivered and that will cover the whole front porch, new steps and new walk as well.  So until that point, I have missing brick over my front door.  Which is really the least of my problems at this point.

The guest house is so cute, I can't stand it.  I will update more soon.

Happy Halloween!

The kids gave Stephen and I a treat this year for Halloween...they all reused costumes that we already had!  None of them wanted to go shopping for costumes and were happy with repeats, yay!
Cutest Minnie Mouse since Amelia wore the same costume six years ago:)

Luke was a Bears player again this year.

Amelia pieced together a witch's costume.

Happy Halloween!

We went to a Halloween party before we headed out for trick or treating.

We barely got in our trick or treating before a HUGE storm came.  Phew.

Amanda and Addison gathering up their treats.
