NYC Day Two (part two)

This was Rockefeller Center!
Right in front of the famous ice skating rink.

Of course we head to check out the Lego store.
This was a replica of NYC and the detail was so awesome!

St. Patrick's Cathedral was breathtaking.
We walked through it during mass and it was so beautiful.

Say it with me people,
Selfie stick!

After a quick costume change it was time for us to go see
Wicked!

First show on Broadway!

All dressed up for the show!
We had phenomenal seats and the show did not disappoint.
It was definitely a favorite of the trip for all of us.

We all laughed and cheered and some of us (okay, me) cried.
It was just so fun and I could not believe we were here in NYC!
It was a dream come true and enjoy it with all my loves was spectacular.
Such special memories.
After Wicked we enjoyed a delicious steak dinner and then headed to the famous
Serendipity for dessert!
The kids couldn't believe their eyes!

The famous frozen hot chocolate!

Addison couldn't believe it!

Amelia takes after her Grandma Nancy and LOVES all chocolate, all the time.

Luke figured out an ingenious way to enjoy his treat.

And then to top of the night, we took the kids to Dylans Candy Bar!

What a wonderful day in New York City!
Although we were in the city that never sleeps, we definitely needed to sleep after this day!

NYC Day Two (part one)

It was a fun time of year to be in NYC because all of the Christmas decorations were up!
Of course I wanted to take a picture of all of it...thankfully the kids almost always obliged me with a smile.

My morning fix.

Time to head up to
TOP OF THE ROCK!!
Central Park can be viewed over Addison's right shoulder.

Luke pointing out all the famous landmarks.

Yay!
Our first time in New York too!

Addi being Addi.

That is the Empire State building with the pointy top...
I am nearly positive!

The views all around the observation decks were amazing!

A spontaneous hand hold by Luke and Addison.
Be still my heart.

Selfie stick!
See we were already getting better at it!

It was so windy, we were all holding on to each other so we didn't blow over!
Amelia had the giggles because she had wild hair!

Success!

New York City!! Day One

Well the day had finally arrived for our much anticipated vacation to New York City!
We arrived at our hotel in the early evening and got ourselves checked in and then headed to Times Square to grab some dinner.
This was our first attempt at a family selfie! Ha!
It was clearly a fail, but don't worry, we got better at it as the trip went on.

We enjoyed a diner our first night and Luke ordered a salami sandwich.
When it arrived, it blew his little mind!
That was enough salami to feed him for a week!

Happy Halloween!

Luke as a zombie!

Still that winning smile!

Addison as a freaky ghost.
Around August Addison starting campaigning to "wear something scary for Halloween, nothing cutesie mom"
So, scary ghost girl it was!
Lord knows I never win a debate with Addison.

Amelia as a friendly witch!

How have they gotten so big?

From the second Addison put that costume on, she was in character.
She was all about it and had that freaky look on her face!
She LOVED her scary outfit!

We headed to our neighbors house for some food and fun before we headed out Trick or Treating.

Alden and Addison,
and Max the dog who was hoping Alden would drop that "pig in a blanket" she's holding.

Me and Leslie and Heidi ready for some treats!

Luke and buddies Lucas and Eli (tennis buddies) ready to storm the neighborhood.

One group picture before we headed out to gather candy.
Trick or Treat!
And one more of Addie because it makes me laugh.
