Global Wildlife Center

The kids had Mardi Gras break recently and we decided to spend the day at The Global Wildlife Center.
IT BLEW OUR MINDS!!!
The Global Wildlife Center is the largest free-roaming wildlife conservation park in the country.  They have over 4000 animals and we got to have an up close, connection with all of them.
All five of us spent the whole safari ride belly laughing because the animals were very lovable and it was just so shocking.
We loved it!

All set for our safari!

The giraffes were truly awe inspiring.  And they were so graceful and sweet.

Petting the giraffes was just so amazing.
Some of them even tried to climb all the way into our jeep where we kept our giant bag of feed.

The Alpacas definitely had us all laughing hysterically.  They came sprinting at us from across the park and they have those floppy little haircuts and they were so clumsy.  We just couldn't stop laughing.  They wanted to eat and get pet and give kisses.  We could not feed them fast enough.

Alpaca kisses.

Addison getting a kiss from the alpaca.
I think Addison won the prize for having the most animal saliva on her when we were finished.  She was in animal heaven!

I don't remember what these were but they were very strong and would grab the cups if we didn't hold on tight.
They surrounded us!

Look at Addison struggling to hold on to her cup!

You can see them start to surround us here.  Amelia had them all around her and she was laughing so hard.

They finally cornered her to the bottom of the jeep!  Do you see her on the floor?

I think these were the giant bulls.
Each animal has to be fed a little differently.  Some like to eat it out of your hand, some like to dip their face in the cup, some like you to dump the food in.  The safari guide was great about letting us know how each animal preferred their food.

We couldn't get over the size of those tongues!!
You can also see how beautiful the wildlife preserve was from this picture.  Tons of open space for the animals to roam, lots of lakes and water holes.  It was over 900 acres.

Brand new baby!

So amazing!
We could not believe all the animals!

Addison of course is rubbing this big guys head like he is a little lap dog.

"Hi there buddy, you just want some kisses and love, don't you."
Addison gave more kisses than food.

Stephen caught this great picture of this reindeer surprising me!
He and I both have a shocked look on our face!
We had a such a fun day here!
