The second week of our great summer adventure brought us back to Trail West! We visited Trail West two summers ago and the whole family loved it and we could not wait to go back! It is a family summer camp run by Younglife, a Christian youth ministry Stephen and I are very involved in.
This amazing week, did not disappoint!

As we get our pictures taken, our car is whisked away while all of our luggage is placed in our rooms for us!
This camp thinks of everything.
As we boarded "Big Red" the wagon, we couldn't believe it! We saw sweet Camille, who was a volunteer at the camp two years ago. At the time she was a volunteer (Kid Wrangler) for Addison! Now she was a staff member! She was Addison's favorite and Addison was thrilled to see her again! It was a fun reunion.
Big Red drives us all up to the lodge, to this fun scene! All of the screaming, clapping, cheering volunteer work crew and staff. What a welcome! These high school and college kids volunteer a month of their summer to serve our families and allow us to become closer to Christ and each other. Amazing.
They cook, clean our rooms, take care of our kids, keep the grounds beautiful, lifeguard, Kid Wrangle, run the ropes course, horse stables, etc. They are a great inspiration to my kids as to what a heart of service is.
We would run through this same line of cheering before every meal too! So fun!
We are so excited to be back!!

It's a rough life.
After dinner we all head to club each night.
Club is a highlight of Young Life for sure. It is a crazy dancing, singing, praising, skit-filled, laughing fiasco, then things settle down for a message about the gospel. At Trail West, club is a family activity and then the adults and kids get separated to receive age appropriate gospel lessons.
Camp is always filled with lots of surprises and this night it was ice cream sundaes for everyone!!
We ate a lot at Trail West, A LOT!!!
