SUMMER ADVENTURE 2016- Day 6

To continue our adventure at Zion National Park, we decided to tackle two more trails in one day.
The first hike we took was to Weeping Rock.
It was not a long hike, maybe only about a mile, but it was a very steep incline.

Little Bit was up for the challenge.

Weeping rock!
It was a really neat experience to hike under this rock and rolling over it is a mini waterfall, hence Weeping Rock.

Next we headed to the Emerald Pool Trails.
This hike actually consists of three separate trails leading to three "emerald pools."  Let's just say our family renamed them to "Muddy, murky puddle trails."
We all thought this hike was the most strenuous we did by far!  It was only about three miles but a lot of steep inclines and climbing up  rocks, and slipping down rocks.   I think we all tumbled a bit.   The thing that made it the hardest was the 100 degree heat that day.  Well, that and I think we all imagined the Emerald Pools would be, well, emerald.  Ha!  Not what we expected but the hike itself was beautiful.

In front of the second "Emerald Pool."  We named this one muddy puddle.
We thought it was hilarious but we probably all had heat stroke.

This is Addison and I collapsed under a big shade tree after all our hours of hiking.
We all just laid there for about an hour.  We were wiped out!
This was such an awesome coincidence!  Auntie Sue and Uncle Joe had planned a summer trip to Utah at the same time we did, unbeknownst to any of us until their visit to Mississippi in April!  Can you imagine?  So funny!  We were staying just a few blocks away from each other!
So from Indiana/Illinois and Mississippi, we had dinner together in Utah!!
Bye beautiful Zion National Park!
We had so much fun and made so many family memories!
