SUMMER ADVENTURE 2016 - Day 4

Day 4 was our only long day of travel, driving from the Grand Canyon to Utah's Zion National Park.
The drive brought landscapes and scenery like we had never seen before but we were all happy to arrive and get out of the car.
Our condo was right in the entrance to Zion National Park which was so convenient for hiking and boarding the shuttles to different hike locations.
It was also awesome because right behind our condo was the Virgin River.  The kids spent hours playing in the frigid water which felt great in the 100 degree Utah heat.

Addison loved trying to cross the current and mini rapids.

Uh oh! Down she goes!

Lucky big sis is there to help her cross.

They also loved running up the river a bit and then riding the tubes down the rapids.
I packed three dollar store tubes in our suitcase for this trip and man did they come in handy.  (Remember seeing them in the Vegas lazy river too?).   Best three dollars I ever spent.

We spent a lot of time in the pool as well after we did morning hikes.
Look at that gorgeous view!
