Younglife has tons of summer camps all over the world to serve high schoolers and provide them with "the best week of their lives."
One of their high school camps, Frontier Ranch, is not far from Trail West. So we all took a bus over to that camp to play and experience all the things that camp has to offer! The kids loved the giant water slide and pool! The camp also has some sort of death swing over the canyon that thankfully none of my kids wanted to go on. It gave me a a panic attack just watching other families do it.
A float on Shamu seemed much safer.
This is what Day 13 of vacation does to the Boskovich family, every last one of them passed out on the bus ride home.
After lunch we headed to the trout pond.
Yay Addison!
She was so excited and jumping up and down when she caught her first fish!
And then it got too close.
Amelia is much braver when it comes to holding fish. Good catch Mimi!
This night was Western Night so we took the opportunity to take some family photos...like 200 of them. After already taking almost 2000 photos on this trip. I think Luke was close to throwing my camera over the mountain.
We tried to think of some funny poses for the boys.
Oh dear.
Stephen wanted to show off his cowboy rear.
Then it was time for dinner out on the Aspen Grove!
Lots of corn on the cob, BBQ ribs and chicken and all the fixings, yummy!
These are the characters for the week. They would appear at all of our meals and put on funny skits. They were great.
In one of the skits, they have a big fight. Addison has a very tender heart and she wrote them a letter that told them they should always forgive each other and love each other. She told them they are family and love is most important just like Jesus taught us. The letter was precious. She then delivered the letter to the wife of the guy in the black hat.
He loved the letter and they all searched Addison out to tell her how sweet it was and what a good heart she has.
After dinner, their was a surprise carnival!! Lots of fun games where the kids could collect tickets to get cotton candy and popcorn.
Luke threw a pie in his counselors face!
Oh my!
Don't worry, he got Luke back!
This game was hilarious.
It was to make the girl in overalls laugh. Kids were trying jokes, etc.
Addison read the sign, "Make me laugh, get a ticket." She walked right up to the girl and tickled her under her armpits.
The girl was so surprised and actually ticklish that she was laughing so hard her hat fell off.
She gave Addison like 10 tickets for her creativity.
Don't mess around with our Mississippi Mimi! This girl can shoot and earned her tickets.
Addison and Luke must have eaten 10 cotton candys.
Then it was time for an all night dance party!
We started off doing fun family dances like square dancing and the twist and YMCA!
It quickly turned to the Whip and Ne Ne, as seen by Addison above.
We were a sweaty mess but it was SO much fun!
