Advent

As anyone with little ones know, waiting is tough.  How many more days?  How much longer?  Advent is the season of waiting, waiting for our Savior to be born.  To make the waiting more meaningful and fun, our family included some extra activities this year.  We added a nightly devotion with fun family activities that reinforce the real joy of Christmas, Jesus birthday!  To start Advent off our church had it's first Advent festival.

Daddy and Addison working on our Advent calendar.

Amelia and Luke hard at work making Christmas ornaments.

Addison hard at work at the cookie station.  She was "hard at work" at this station most of the afternoon.

Luke and Daddy making our Advent wreath.  We are then able to light each candle (Hope, Peace, Joy, Love)  as the weeks in Advent progress while we do our family devotion.  Another great way to prepare for Jesus birth.

Our family manger photo.  We borrowed Pastor Jon's baby, Nathaniel, to be our stand in baby Jesus.  Happy Christmas season.  Instead of rush, stress, bills, and busyness, we hope your season is filled with Hope, Peace, Joy and Love.
