Watershed

Second and Third Grade Connections Musical
America is the Water That Unites Us!
Synco De Bayou!

All original scripts and songs that were so cute to educate their school (and parents) about our very own Pascagoula Watershed.  And if you don't know what a watershed is, ask Luke, he will tell you all about it.

Each child got to choose to be an animal from the watershed and they painted the animal, researched it and peformed a rap about it.  For real, a rap.  So hilarious.
See all the kids in the above picture.  Luke's part was his rap about the Nighthawk and in between the lines of his rap, his friends would all slap their hands and say, "Whoomp, there he is."

So proud of our little Nighthawk.

Second grade Connections students.  Great job kiddos!

Luke's Nighthawk.  Luke was so inspired by researching all the watershed animals and birds that he saved his report card money and ordered the official Field Guide of North American birds.  We have been so impressed with Luke's Connection teacher and Luke's traditional classroom teacher this year for inspiring the kids to crave more information.  He loves to research things at home that he learned about at school and he journals and draws and reads about them.
