It's Electrofying!

We already know Addison's baby hair stands up on end like a baby chick but now it's happening to the big kids too! Amelia and Luke were jumping on their blow up jumper and their hair started rising :)

Luke was playing outside with Stephen when he told Daddy, "Now that Addison came out, we have a fantastic family!" What a cutie he is.

Amelia continues to be the best helper with Addison and loves to hold her baby sister. She is very excited now that Addison has become more alert and will look at Amelia and make faces at her.

Addison is a little over a month old now and doing great. She kind of fights sleep during the day but she is a pretty good sleeper at night which makes for a happy mommy and daddy. She finally fits into 0-3 month clothes and has outgrown her "newborn" outfits; and she is getting her chubby cheeks :)

Puddles and Worms

While Max was visiting, we had a huge rainfall one morning. It was still in the 70's though and no thunder or lightening, so out we went for puddle jumping and worm hunting. Amelia and Max loved picking up the worms and seeing how long they were but Luke was a little more wary. Luke just liked to see the worms but he ran away when they picked them up.

The rain did stop so we ate at Harbor Landing, a great restaurant on the beach and then played on the dock and the beach for the afternoon.

Happy Valentine's Day!

How do you know it's your third baby? I had a specific outfit that said Baby's First Valentine's Day on it and I completely forgot to put it on Addison. Oh well, I love this outfit so much and she was dressed in red so I hadn't completely lost my mind. Thanks Marian, doesn't it look so cute on her?

Cousin Max (and Aunt Traci and Uncle Kent) were here to visit us from Minnesota. Here they are showing off their Valentines.

Sunday Best

Living in the south necessitates long, smocked dresses and pretty hair bows. Two week old babies are not exempt from this rule. So here is our beautiful Addison Kate all dressed up for church. Thankfully she has some hair so I didn't have to scotch tape the bow to her head like my mom used to do to me.

Our Little Social Butterfly

Addison is not quite two weeks old but she has a pretty full social calendar already. She has been out to eat a few times, to church twice, two baby showers, tennis lessons and oh can't forget four hours of Mardi Gras parade fun! She is such a little trooper. I love this picture, it shows off her fuzzy Bosko hair, post bath. Love it, love it, love it.

I know she's my kid so I'm biased but seriously, so cute.

Even Addison didn't want to miss out on the fun, although she did sleep through the entire parade. I couldn't believe all the sirens, music and bands didn't wake her up.

Cozy Spot

Addison's first bath at home, she wasn't real thrilled with us. Although she did love having her hair washed.

This is Addison's favorite place to sleep, Amelia's beanbag. It is therefore, also mommy and daddy's favorite item in our house. Addison will sleep in this bean bag for four and five hour stretches (even throughout the night). That last part was whispered because I don't want to jinx ourselves. She looks so adorable all snuggled up in it, I just want to wake her up and tell her how cute she is. But, I'm not that stupid, I'll tell her later.

The Trilogy is Complete!!!

Since Jenni is staying overnight at the hospital, I have taken over this blog to show off my our new addition. Addison Kate arrived at 11:31am on January 26th at 7 lbs and 2 oz, officially making her the smallest Bosko baby, but definitely not the quietest. After a 72 hour early labor marathon, it took only one push to mark her arrival. Jenni helped to deliver Addi and mother and baby are both healthy and doing well. She was later received by an excited brother and sister to rave reviews. Both bigger kids are so excited to tell everyone they know that their baby sister has arrived, even the voice on the Sonic drive-thru ordering machine. For those trivia buffs out there, Wrigley Field happens to stand at 1060 W. Addison. Could her arrival be an omen of things to come? Her daddy can only hope so. Oh, and I think there was a Luke in Star Wars? Hmmm, 2 kids named for two of Stephen's favorite things? Coincidence, honestly. Plus Jenni and Amelia were already taken.

The Boskos Strike again

If we keep bowling this much we are going to need personalized bowling balls and our own Boskovich Bowling shirts. We hit the lanes again but this time we brought Daddy. The kids are getting pretty good now, they both "do it all by myself" now. Although, that means pick up the ball, take a running start and chuck it down the lane, clunk goes the ball on the lane. Oh well, it makes it to the pins eventually.

Finally some winter weather

Winter has finally come to Mississippi! We've had some cool weather the last few days with temps in the 40's. It has been great actually, we have been able to wear sweaters, drink hot chocolate and we even had our first fire in our fireplace. Stephen made a great fire the other night and it was one of those nights we couldn't recreate if we tried. All four of us snuggled in front of the fire and the kids told us stories for a whole hour. Stephen and I were cracking up. Luke was very animated, he would put his hands out to his sides and say, "Okay, okay guys this is a really funny one . . ." He would then ramble this whole long made up story about one of his friends but every story he told ended the same. . . "and then the fire ants snapped up his booty butt." He would then throw his head back and laugh hysterically which would get us all laughing all over again. Amelia amazed us because she told us every story my dad ever shared about my sisters and I growing up. She had every detail down and didn't forget a thing. It was such a fun night with no T.V., no fighting and no whining! Hallelujah.

Out with the old and in with the new

Bye good friend, you have been good to us for the last 10 years. Okay, well good to us for about 7 of those years, now you have kind of been a pain in the butt. The day Stephen got home he tried to take the jeep out of the garage where she has been sleeping for the last 6 months and found out she did not have any brakes. Whoops. He got those fixed and then the next day tried to leave for work and she would not start! Grrr, time for a new car.

Welcome our new car, I so do not care about cars but this one runs so I am pretty happy about that. This is a Saturn Aura, it is pretty nice however Stephen is really perturbed that it has hubcaps. That is a huge pet peeve for him I guess, I can't even tell the difference between rims and hubcaps most of the time. He is still mumbling behind me right now, "I hate hubcaps."

Daddy is Home!

The Countdown has begun

Stephen is scheduled to come home tomorrow! The kids and I are beside ourselves with excitement and the day cannot go fast enough. We don't know when or even where yet but we will be ready with our signs and our hugs and kisses.

Off to church and Sunday school and then bowling to pass some of the day away. No, I will not be bowling this time. I don't want to put myself into labor the day before he gets home!

Christmas Eve

Our lovely friend Nell invited us to her neighborhood Christmas Eve party and look who showed up! Amelia and Luke's eyes nearly popped out of their little heads when Santa walked through the door with a big Ho Ho Ho! They both just stared and slowly backed up near me. Santa luckily had read all the kids lists and had just what they wanted in his sack, labeled for each child. Luke just kept saying, "Mommy, I can't believe Santa remembered I wanted Bolt." It was so cute to see their reactions and how in awe they were. We had lots of yummy food, sang Happy Birthday to Jesus complete with a birthday cake and then it was home for naps before church. Thankfully they both slept because Christmas Eve church was a little longer than normal and I had the bright idea to keep Luke with us and not put him in the nursery that night. They behaved pretty well but their were lots of whispered threats of Santa not coming if they don't behave. The last song was a candlelight version of "Silent Night" during which Luke tried to blow out the whole congregations' candles like they were birthday candles.

Barbara has come all the way from Wisconsin to stay with us for a couple of weeks over Christmas. I am so thankful Barbara is here to help keep the kids busy now that I am in full out waddling mode.

When we got home from church it was time for new Christmas jammies! Look how excited they were , they look like they are going to burst out of their seats. By the time we went outside to sprinkle the reindeer food, got together a cookie plate for Santa and got them "nestled all snug in their beds" it was very late.

Pageants and Parties

Amelia and Luke worked hard on their gingerbread house. Some candy even made it onto the house instead of in their tummies!

Amelia's Christmas party at school. They made these Rudolph hats and elf hats that were so cute. The kids had a book exchange and of course lots of sugary treats.

The kids Christmas pageant at our church, First Presbyterian. It was so cute. Luke was a sheep but he wouldn't wear the ears, too itchy. He then insisted on bringing a stuffed animal, the initial one he chose was Clifford, as in the Big RED dog. I thought, um, no. So after much "discussion" I convinced him to bring Molly instead because she looked like a sheep.

Amelia was a Roman citizen and walked up the aisle, pointed at the big star and shouted, "Look at that very bright star!" It was a beautiful performance of a Roman citizen :) Luke's big line was BAA, but he got a little stage fright and just bee lined for the front of church and sat down. It was so sweet to watch them and hear their little voices singing, "Away in a Manger" and "Little Town of Bethlehem." Christmas pageants are such a fun part of the season.

Busy Weekend!

On Saturday night we went to Bellingrath Gardens in Alabama with our church. It was absolutely beautiful. Bellingrath Gardens is a 65 acre garden and it was filled with 3 million lights and 835 lit displays. I loved this train and look at my awesome photography skills with it reflecting off of the lake.

Amelia and Sophie loved this rainbow display with the unicorn. It reminded me a little bit of growing up in the 80's with My Little Ponies and Rainbow Brite. Another note, look at Amelia and how bundled she insisted on getting. I swear it was like 53 degrees that night, come on Mimi, you were born in Chicago!

Sophie, Ben, Amelia and Luke, this was the best picture I got of the four of them. They were too busy running around, saying, look at this and that to stop and pose for pictures.

As fun as it was: Note to self, walking around a GIGANTIC garden when you are 8 1/2 months pregnant and GIGANTIC yourself, is not the best idea.

Sorry, this post is out of order. After my shower, before the light show, the kids met Cynthia and I downtown for a trolley ride. It was a cute, little ride around town and they gave the kids hot chocolate. Which, on second thought, giving kids five and under a steaming hot liquid while bouncing around a moving trolley might not be the best idea. Oh well, tis the season. Totally different thought, don't Amelia and Mckenzie (far right) look like they could be sisters?? Freaky.

Oh Baby!

On Saturday, these wonderful ladies threw me a baby shower for Addison Kate. The shower was at Martha's Tea Room and we had a delicious breakfast. I had such a fun time and Addison received so many adorable outfits and keepsakes. Thank you to all my dear friends, I am so glad you all came to celebrate the upcoming arrival of Addison Kate.

My crafty friends. Marian made me this beautiful diaper cake and the top little poof was a really cute baby outfit! My friends are much more creative than I am.

Kristen also made me a gorgeous diaper cake and look at this cake topper! It is a preggers "super mom" which is fitting for any poor soul who saw me in my wonder woman costume last year at Halloween!

Thank you so much to Cynthia, Blake and Kristen who planned this shower for me. You guys are the best and I had such a great time. Thanks for being such wonderful friends.

More Christmas Fun!

On Saturday night we were lucky enough to hitch a ride on our friends' boat to see the Biloxi Boat parade. All the boats decorate their boats with Christmas lights and play Christmas music and some even had Santa to wave to the kids. The night ends with a firework show. I know it seems weird that we are able to go out on a boat in December but it is a cool perk of living in the south. However, I have to say we have become quite wimpy since living down here. I think it was about 48 degrees that night and the way were dressed you would have thought it was about 20 below. I took about 20 pictures of the boats but clearly I am not a very good photographer and/or do not know how to work my camera. Unfortunately this is the best shot I got, but you get the idea. One boat even had a coordinating light/music show, it was so cool.

On Sunday, we had a Holiday Tea at Mary Mahoney's in Biloxi. It was a very cute event, with crafts for the kids and of course Santa, Mississippi style. The kids had cute, little tea sandwiches, fruit and yummy treats and cookies for lunch.
