The Bosko Boat

Well, we finally broke down and bought a boat and now we are broke (just kidding, kind of). The kids are super, super excited as you can see. This is the first time we took the boat out and they both found their favorite spots for boating. Stephen and I even managed to get the boat off the trailer and in the water without filing for divorce so we are doing pretty well so far as boat owners.

Here is Addison on her first boat ride. Now, no need to e-mail me all sorts of messages about how uncomfortable she looks and yes, she can breathe. This little baby, refuses to sleep all day long UNLESS we take her for a boat ride. We get her life jacket on, she looks around and then, bam, like magic, she is asleep. Needless to say I would like to take the boat out every day so our little one will sleep.

Here it is, our first boat. I asked Stephen so I can tell you it is a Yamaha 23 foot bow rider, jet boat, otherwise I would have just told you it is white, tan and black.

Easter Egg Hunt

As Easter approaches we've had lots of fun activities to keep us busy. The kids both had Easter parties at school and they were great help making the bunny cupcakes.

I love the bunny ear hats and she was especially excited about her dyed pink egg, "because Mom, you had to chose whichever color was in front of you but pink was in front of me and that's my FAVORITE color!" I had fun getting bombarded by 18 kindergarten children as soon as I walked into the classroom and hearing them trying to say, "Ms. Boskovich."

Today was an Easter egg hunt with good friends Hayden and McKenzie.

I got a picture of Amelia hunting for eggs but all the pictures I have of Luke are of him whizzing by me in a full run looking for more eggs. He's a little bit more hard core than Amelia in the egg hunting business.

Field day fun and Grandma and Grandpa

Amelia's school had field day this past week and it brought back lots of memories of my own field days. The days of standing long jump and three legged races were gone but replaced with lots of other fun activities. The kids participated in dizzy bat races, tug of war, scooter races, obstacle courses and football throw. Above is Amelia participating in the football throw, pretty good form I thought but she didn't quite have the distance. Then I realized while posting this, she was throwing with her right hand. No wonder she was having difficulty, she's a lefty!

Here she is looking cute while doing the hurdles. You know you've taken a lot of pictures of your kids if they have learned to turn to you, smile and pose while in midair doing the hurdles. She has been well trained.

We also had fun this week with Grandma Nancy and Grandpa Jon visiting . Addison was a lucky little baby having two extra pair of arms willing to hold her and give her lots of kisses.

Their favorite from Grandpa was the raccoon that broke into Grandpa's tent when he was camping as a little boy and their favorite story from Grandma was the alligator that ate her golf ball after she hit him in the head.

Amelia had her kindergarten musical this past week. Her school has an awesome music teacher and the production was really cute. The kids sang about 8 songs and had dances and actions with all of them. It was fun to watch the enthusiasm (and the lack of) that different students had with the songs. Amelia loved it and was quite into all the dancing but she would get nervous whenever she saw us (we were in the front row of course because I insisted we get there like an hour early, a little obsessive maybe) but anyway, she would get nervous and start twisting her dress all up. But as long as she ignored her family, then she did great!

Grandma Joan was here visiting this past week which was so much fun. She got to meet Addison and had lots of cuddle time and the big kids loved playing with her too. Here we are out to lunch at Al Fresco, a little Italian restaurant that we like because we can eat outside (yes, Amelia was playing hooky from kindergarten).

This is Amelia's kindergarten class on a field trip to the Marine Science Center. Guess who volunteered Stephen to chaperon?? Amelia was definitely the cool kid because her daddy got to come on the field trip, the kids were all over him and she loved it. He actually had fun too but I don't think he wore a cool lobster hat like the kids did; although I did get him to wear a Pecan Park t-shirt.

Little Choir Boy

Luke's three year old Sunday School class sang in church on Sunday. It is just about my favorite thing in the world to hear little ones sing about God. Luke sang all his songs, quite loudly, but very seriously. His little brow was furrowed the whole time as he concentrated on his performance, very cute.

All the kids before church. This is about the fifth shot I took. Addison smiled in every single picture except this one, but Luke had his eyes closed in all of them. So finally I said, "Make your eyes really wide" and this is what I got. Luke thought he would make his eyes and his mouth really wide.

The Greatest Show on Earth

Addison in her own little paradise, she loves sleeping in Daddy's arms. My guess is sport center is playing on the T.V. He probably would be playing Wii if he could figure out how to play and not wake her at the same time.

I don't know which "kid" is having the most fun, the big one or the little ones? We all went to the boat show this past weekend and Tommy drove the kids on the boat simulator. The kids loved the dog show the best, the dogs retrieved things after jumping in the water and then splashed the kids while shaking off.

Luke's preschool has an annual circus performance and Luke was a very cute giraffe. He sang all of his circus songs with gusto. Luke was the only little boy that kept his hood on for the whole performance. All of the other "animals" would not wear it but he was a trooper, although he did look pretty uncomfortable.

Just so cute, I wish they would never grow up.

Day by Day

Addison is five weeks old now and getting chunkier every day. Her cheeks are starting to rest on her chest! She is really starting to smile a lot now and loves when Lukey and Amelia talk to her.

Thanks Grandpa Steve and Grandma Donna, I love my very own beanbag! (Amelia and Luke are even happier because they get theirs back).

Amelia participated in Read Across America at her school recently. The school celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday and she came home with lots of rhyming words! How cute was her outfit! She has the best kindergarten teacher.

It's Electrofying!

We already know Addison's baby hair stands up on end like a baby chick but now it's happening to the big kids too! Amelia and Luke were jumping on their blow up jumper and their hair started rising :)

Luke was playing outside with Stephen when he told Daddy, "Now that Addison came out, we have a fantastic family!" What a cutie he is.

Amelia continues to be the best helper with Addison and loves to hold her baby sister. She is very excited now that Addison has become more alert and will look at Amelia and make faces at her.

Addison is a little over a month old now and doing great. She kind of fights sleep during the day but she is a pretty good sleeper at night which makes for a happy mommy and daddy. She finally fits into 0-3 month clothes and has outgrown her "newborn" outfits; and she is getting her chubby cheeks :)

Puddles and Worms

While Max was visiting, we had a huge rainfall one morning. It was still in the 70's though and no thunder or lightening, so out we went for puddle jumping and worm hunting. Amelia and Max loved picking up the worms and seeing how long they were but Luke was a little more wary. Luke just liked to see the worms but he ran away when they picked them up.

The rain did stop so we ate at Harbor Landing, a great restaurant on the beach and then played on the dock and the beach for the afternoon.

Happy Valentine's Day!

How do you know it's your third baby? I had a specific outfit that said Baby's First Valentine's Day on it and I completely forgot to put it on Addison. Oh well, I love this outfit so much and she was dressed in red so I hadn't completely lost my mind. Thanks Marian, doesn't it look so cute on her?

Sunday Best

Living in the south necessitates long, smocked dresses and pretty hair bows. Two week old babies are not exempt from this rule. So here is our beautiful Addison Kate all dressed up for church. Thankfully she has some hair so I didn't have to scotch tape the bow to her head like my mom used to do to me.

Our Little Social Butterfly

Addison is not quite two weeks old but she has a pretty full social calendar already. She has been out to eat a few times, to church twice, two baby showers, tennis lessons and oh can't forget four hours of Mardi Gras parade fun! She is such a little trooper. I love this picture, it shows off her fuzzy Bosko hair, post bath. Love it, love it, love it.

I know she's my kid so I'm biased but seriously, so cute.

Even Addison didn't want to miss out on the fun, although she did sleep through the entire parade. I couldn't believe all the sirens, music and bands didn't wake her up.

Cozy Spot

Addison's first bath at home, she wasn't real thrilled with us. Although she did love having her hair washed.

This is Addison's favorite place to sleep, Amelia's beanbag. It is therefore, also mommy and daddy's favorite item in our house. Addison will sleep in this bean bag for four and five hour stretches (even throughout the night). That last part was whispered because I don't want to jinx ourselves. She looks so adorable all snuggled up in it, I just want to wake her up and tell her how cute she is. But, I'm not that stupid, I'll tell her later.
