It was Labor Day weekend, we all had just weathered another hurricane, our kids had been home with us for a week post hurricane. What are adults to do? Party...definitely party. Stephen and I decided to throw together an adults only BBQ and we had some amazing food, awesome laughs and 30 fun friends ready to let loose!
Some of my girl friends showing off the delicious dessert table.
Everything was still nice and civil at 8pm.
Beside Katie and Kristen lies the bar. I should have gotten a before and after picture of the bar. It is shocking how much alcohol 30 church going, professional, responsible(??) adults can go through in one night. Yikes. Long Island ice teas, check, Summer Beer, check, Flaming Dr. Peppers, check, too many beers, wine, shots and mixed drinks to count, check.
Me after a few Summer beers and Flaming Dr. Peppers.
Such a fun night! We are blessed with such a fab group of friends that we love. We are doubly blessed because our beautiful babysitter, Ashley, babysat our children overnight...at her apartment, so they didn't have to witness the craziness. Also, since the party ran into the next day, it was very nice to be able to sleep in. God bless Ashley. We love her.
The next day the Kahles had us and the Neffs over for a pool party. It was just what we needed, some cool water to swim in and some cool water to rehydrate ourselves.
Cynthia and Kristen just chillin'
The Kahles have chickens and my kids think they are the coolest. Look at Addison hugging this chicken. "Fluffy" is so calm and just sits there while Addison totes her around like an accessory.
"I wuv you Fluffy."
Some of the kids having dinner. My only picture of Luke for the day. He was too busy playing with Ben to keep up with him.
