Time Machine

Amelia's 5th grade Gifted and Talented class recently performed a play they wrote, directed, casted and acted.   The children each pick a different person in history and research that person and write a script intertwining all the characters throughout history.  They do this by having the premise be a Time Machine.  It was very creative and neat to see the kids tie in the characters and the humor in their lines.  Amelia chose Diane Fossey, the gorilla lady (She could tell you everything you ever wanted to know about Diane Fossey and her gorilla, Digit).  Above she is with Shirley Temple and Sandra Day O'Connor.

The children had pages and pages of scripts that they all memorized beautifully.  They really did an impressive job.

Amelia with two of her closest friends, Gabriel and Georgia Kate.  Otherwise known as, Wilma Rudolph and Jackie Kennedy.
Poor Amelia, I remember this age well, I was always heads shorter than all of my friends too.  Don't worry Mimi!  You will catch up eventually, like in high school.
