This day we started bright and early (5:30am!) for our Wrangler Breakfast.
Stephen, Amelia and Luke rode horses to the breakfast site and Addison and I rode the wagon, Big Red.
The Wrangler Breakfast is a really fun morning. It is a campfire breakfast in a beautiful location at the base of the mountain.
The Wranglers cook made to order omelets, eggs, sausages and all sorts of other yummy things while we get to sit around the campfire with our coffee and hot chocolate.

They toss you french toast from about 20 feet away and you have to catch it on your plate!
It is so fun to watch!

Addison loved catching the toast so she continued to get back in line to catch again and again and again. She kept handing out french toast to all of the staff so she could go catch more.
While we were eating we had a nice devotion and prayer and Addison took that time to cozy up with the staff.
It was a chilly morning and super foggy so the fire felt really great.
Our last day had arrived and I could no longer put off the zipline and ropes course. I was so terrified two years ago when we did the course that I was nearly paralyzed with fear. So this year I was trying to be very brave and nonchalant. I was not going to let my fear take over again.
And then I started watching my family get harnessed up and I started shaking.
Addison and Daddy went first and of course, they rocked it.
Addison had grown so much since she did the course two years ago that she was much more capable.
Addison shouting to me, "It's easy mommy, you can do it!"
Amelia loves doing rock walls but no matter how much we tried, we could not convince her to do the zipline and ropes course.
She is like a spider monkey up this wall.
She rang that bell at the top so fast!

Luke decided he would be the one to take me across the course this year.
And I did it and I felt much more confidant this time around. I wasn't nearly as shaky as I was two years ago so I was feeling pretty awesome about myself.
And then we got to the zipline...
There is something that is just so hard for me about throwing myself off a platform and hoping that little strap holds me.
I was SO scared, terrified, petrified, every word that describes being frightened.

It makes me laugh now but wow, terror.
The staff said my guttural scream/whimper/cry was the loudest of the whole week. I did not get a trophy for that honor.
Luke of course, is loving it and all smiles!
But I did it!
I conquered my fears and my kids witnessed it!
So I was so proud of myself for finishing the course and my youngest says to me, "Will you go with me mommy?? Please!!!"
Sigh. The things I do for my kids.
So I ended up there to do the whole darn thing all over again!
This last obstacle is very hard because you just have your own strap to balance with and Addison did great!
And here we go!
My face isn't quite as contorted in horror this time.
On a daily basis Addison cracks me up with the things she says. Unfortunately, this time it was at my expense.
At the end of the zipline, you hang midair while the staff members (two cute 20 something year old college boys) pull a ladder up to you so you can be unclipped from the strap. Of course the harness is on very tight and particularly around the nether regions.
So Addison and I are hanging there midair and I am feeling quite proud of myself and Addison says to the two boys, "Go ahead and get my mom down first, cuz I"m sure her (at this point she made a clicking noise and pointed to my bottom) hurts!"
Oh. my. goodness.
I was mortified! I was like, no my bottom is fine! I was a hundred shades of red with embarrassment.
The boys told me that was the funniest thing they had heard all summer working the zipline.

Our last night at Trail West.
