As the quarantine from Covid 19 continues, the minutes, hours, days and weeks are blending together so I will try my best to correlate this blog to the correct weeks but there is really no telling at this point!
At some point pretty much everything had been shut down- all beaches, playgrounds, restaurants, movie theaters, entertainment venues, marinas, churches, schools, salons, etc.
The country moved to "shelter at home" status. Stephen continued to work his shifts at Singing River Hospital and Ocean Springs Hospital as an ER physician but he did only telemedicine for his nursing home job to keep the residents safe.
There was about a two to three week period where it was just the five of us...all day...every day...so we had to make the best of it (when restrictions were loosened a bit, we let each kid have one friend as a quarantine buddy)
Online school continued on, some of my kids handled it better than others...
The above picture was one of many, many movie nights - we watched Star Wars, some sort of Avenger movie, The Leap Year, My Girl (my pick and after that I wasn't allowed to pick anymore), The Quiet Place, and others that I can't remember, lots of popcorn :)
Here Addison was performing a magic show for the family, she got pretty good at some tricks!
She also performed a stand up comedy act and many singing and dancing acts.
Our garage turned into fun central- ping pong table, dart board, punching bag, mini pickleball court, b-ball court, basically any toy we had to pass the time came out of hiding.
The dogs LOVED us being home so much and enjoyed lounging with us while we played games on the screened in porch. They also got A LOT of walks and golf cart rides around town.

Frost, our adopted cat has 100% adopted us as her family now and makes sure to get noticed. The second any of us steps outside she comes and nudges us and leads us to the garage where we keep food for her. If we are inside too long, she starts peering in our windows all around the house until we come outside.
When you only have your siblings to play with, you get creative.
Here is a game Amelia made up, bowling for your siblings. Basically she is swinging and you better hit the dirt before she takes you out.

Thankfully, my kiddos helped keep my pickleball skills up while pickleball was shut down in the city.
The dogs needed grooming and thankfully Stephen and Amelia were up for the job.
They did great!

We also built a tennis backboard so the kids could keep up their tennis skills during the shutdown.
Just trying to pass the days!
So thankful for our beautiful weather and our health!
