Happy 17th Birthday Amelia

Amelia picked to spend her birthday on Horn Island with her besties.
After an adventurous boat ride, they made it!
Good job Captain Dad!

Little brother even got to come.

You won't meet a sweeter group of kids.

Addison was certain Amelia would love a mini Unicorn pinata for her 17th birthday.

She was right!

Addison also made Amelia a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream frosting!
It was delicious!
Happy Birthday sweet Amelia.
We are immensely proud of you and thank God for the blessing you are to us and everyone you know.  We can't wait to continue to watch you conquer the world!
We love you so much!

Suessical the Musical

Addison participated in another two week theater production this summer.  The theater company performed Suessical the Musical!
Addison was given the part of Cat in the Hat and the Sour Kangaroo, she had solo songs and songs with her fellow cats, as well as choreography.
We are amazed by her love of theater and performance.
The directors gave her the theater award for the two weeks for knowing her lines, being the most prepared and enthusiasm.

This little cutie!
We are so proud of her!

Masks for the audience but at least the show got to happen!

Support from Big Bro and Big Sis :)

I mean...can you tell she loves it!
We hope we have more theater productions in our future!

Wings Theater Production:Aladdin

Addison was thrilled to be able to be in the theater production of Aladdin Jr. this summer.  She was in every dance and singing ensemble as well as getting her very first speaking part :)

Addison sparkled on stage, she loved every second of the production and the whole family knew the soundtrack to Aladdin Jr. by the time the two weeks were over :)

Addison's big lines!

Wrapping up May

Mother's Day was different this year just like everything else thanks to Covid but I am blessed because I got to spend it with these three who made me a mommy.  We picked up lunch to go which was a big treat considering we have almost exclusively eaten at home all of these months.
Evan and Amy came for a visit in May and it was so fun to have them in Ocean Springs!  We spent lots of time out on the boat and on Horn Island.

We spent time with our friends and their chickens :)

Spent even more time on the boat and out on the water :)

Poor Addison had to have oral surgery to remove 8 teeth.  She did great and now we are on to even more orthodontic care.

Recovery books for Addison

The girls picked lots of delicious blueberries :)
We wrapped up school in May, we are thankful to all the teachers to make the end of the year possible via distance learning.

Passing the Days during Covid

As April and May continued, so did Covid and the need to continue online school and social distancing and masks and filling our days...

We continued to relax on the boat as much as possible.

Fishing

Hanging out.

Addison made an awesome zombie attack obstacle course for the family to participate in.

She dressed up like a zombie and would attack us while we were completing all the tasks.
It was so fun and the whole family completed it :)

Bringing back some old fun, slip and slide!

Addison got creative and started doing these art recreations from Ocean Springs famous artist, Walter Anderson.

Our annual church crawfish boil still happened but it was a drive though so we could not enjoy the fellowship part but it was still fun to see everyone from afar.

We dropped off a whole car load of crawfish plates to the ER staff!
They were so excited that it almost made it worth the smell my car had after delivery.  Blech.

Disney sing a long!

The kids picked some pen pals from our church that were elderly and had to stay in their homes to be safe.  They wrote letters back and forth and it was a nice way to keep in touch.

Addie and I got creative with sidewalk chalk :)
