Hoops!

My favorite season has started and this year we have both Addison and Luke playing basketball!

She may be small, be she is fierce.
You cannot help but laugh when watching Addison play  because she is so scrappy and goes after that ball like you have never seen.
I love watching her play, it is so fun!  Addison's team went undefeated this year so they are the number one seed going into the MARCH MADNESS tournament.  Go Timberwolves!

Luke is playing for the Heat this year and the entire team (except for one buddy) is also his entire tennis team!
They have all had a great season and it has been so exciting to watch.
Luke has really grown as a player this year.  He has scored in every game and even scored 10 points in one game.  His rebounding and defensive skills have also really improved so it is good to see my driveway practices have paid off.

Tennis and basketball stars!   Go Heat!

The Lion King

Stephen and I surprised the kiddos with tickets to see Disney's The Lion King in New Orleans.  We had a fun overnight in New Orleans and the show was awesome!

Inside of the Saenger theater, all set for the big show to begin!
We all loved it, the dancing and the animals on stilts, the music;  it was so great.  Such a fun time together!
After the musical we watched the Packers beat the Cowboys in the playoffs, followed by a delicious dinner and what every kid loves, swimming in the hotel pool!

We walked around the French Quarter the next day and of course had beignets at Cafe Du Monde for breakfast!  Delicious!

Addison Kate is Eight!

Addison Kate is Eight!

Addison had a big birthday day!  I took the first picture before school but we did not get around to opening presents until about 12 hours later!
Addison brought donuts to share with her classmates for her birthday and then all the kiddos had tennis practice and Addison even had a basketball game, which she also brought donuts to!
After all that excitement it was time to celebrate our littlest squirt!
Presents and cake and she was excited!!

Love from Lukey :)

Addison once again, cracking herself up.
Luke on the other hand, not at all amused.

EIGHT IS GREAT!!!
Addison summed up my cake decorating skills well.  "Mom, your cakes are so good to eat, but not as good to look at."
I completely agree baby.  But it was delicious!

Making wishes...
Happy Birthday to our sweet baby girl.  May God bless you with happiness, peace, wisdom and laughter throughout this year.
We love you so much!

Addison's 8th Birthday Party!

Addison will be turning 8 tomorrow and this past weekend we celebrated by having a birthday party with all of her friends!  She was super excited to have her party at the new skating rink.

We had the skate rink almost completely to ourselves!
Good thing too because most of Addison's friends were new to rollerskating...including Addison!
Mommy maybe should have rethought the skating rink birthday party considering Addison does not know how to roller skate and she does not eat pizza (the only meal the rink offers).  Whoops.  #thirdkid

Despite being shaky roller skaters, the kids all seemed to have a blast.  Even though us parents spent a lot of time gasping and closing our eyes as the kids sprawled out onto the floor again and again and again.  The rink did have some little roller skate "walkers" to help the kids skate so those were a hot commodity.

Pizza time!
(except for Addison, notice her empty plate).

Then it was time for cupcakes and ice cream :)

And presents!

Addison had a lot of fun with her sweet friends, here she shares a hug with pals, Izzy and Abby.

Camas Family Visit!

We were so excited to have Aunt Andrea, Uncle Marlon and Marlon and Matthew come stay with us right after Christmas!
We had a mini Christmas celebration together and it was so fun to have Christmas with our cousins :)

Matthew still adores "his Amelia."

My sis-in-law, Andrea and me :)

Addison was very excited about her computer from Grandpa!  Big hugs!

Grandpa got both the girls pretty Granddaughter necklaces.

Matthew loves hugs and hugged everyone.  So sweet.

Marlon and Luke enjoyed lots of new Legos!
Fun bowling!

We LOVED having our California crew in Mississippi.  It was a wet, soggy week but we had loads of fun anyway.
Love y'all!

Merry Christmas 2016!

This was Christmas morning...early.  Look at their eyes, so droopy.
I took like 10 different photos and in every single shot, one or all of their eyes were closed due to the flash.  Which I told them would not be needed if they did not wake us up before the sun!!!
And just like every year, Luke was the first one up, who then woke Addison up to use her cuteness to wake Stephen and I up so that he wouldn't get in trouble.  And then Luke and Addison run up the stairs like elephants to wake up Amelia.  Hence, sleepy eyes.

Luke LOVES this present and it proves Santa has a sense of humor.  Luke has been eating with his hands since he has been in a high chair and we have been trying to break the habit for the last 11 years.  The most common phrase at our dinner table every night is "Luke, use your fork."  Well, it just so happens Luke is also a HUGE Star Wars fan.  Somehow the elves made Luke a fork that says, "USE THE FORK LUKE."
We all got a great laugh out of that present and Luke eats with it every night.

Anything monogrammed makes this southern girl happy.

Anything Lego or video game makes this guy happy.
Amelia loved her new purse.

Luke really, really, really wanted a Yeti cup and Santa delivered.
This led to another funny moment by Luke.  The first presents he opened from Santa were a fork, a sleeping bag, a utility pocket knife and a Yeti cup.  After he looked at his pile of presents he looked at Stephen and I a little worried and said, "Am I moving out?"
So funnny.

This was another amazing Santa moment that we haven't quite figured out.  Look at Addison's shocked face.
That is a true artists sketch pad but the cover of the sketch pad is Addison's artwork that she painted at school.  She kept stammering, "How did he??" So we were puzzled and asked her what was going on and she could barely tell us that she had just painted this at school and how did Santa do that??
It was such a special gift, the cover even said, "artwork by Addison Boskovich"   That Santa is a pretty amazing dude.

Another present that made Addison squeal, that is a whole pile of felt that she is clutching to her chest.  She can sew to her little heart's content.  Thank you Santa!

Now that is some joy.  She was shouting, "Thank you Santa!!!"
It is a Snoopy snow cone maker.  Yeah, thanks a lot Santa...eye roll.

Legos, Luke can never have enough.

Amelia wanted new fuzzy boots for the two times a year it gets cold here.  Ha!

More pure joy from Addison!

A COTTON CANDY MAKER!!!!
THANK YOU SANTA!!!!

Sweet Amelia posing and then there is Addison.  Sigh.  Little sisters.  I am sure Amy and Traci could relate.

Amelia was thrilled with her True Grit jacket.  It is all the rage in the middle school, it is a super fuzzy jacket...again, for all the cold weather we have here in Mississippi.

But look how cute she is in it :)
The kids enjoyed all their Santa presents and a delicious breakfast and  then we went to worship and give thanks for our Savior being born and to enjoy the real reason we get to celebrate Christmas.
Then it was back to the house to open all of the gifts their generous family had sent them.  Thank you everyone!  They loved everything!
Then we headed to Grandpa's for Christmas dinner followed by collapsing in our beds.
Merry Christmas!
