Addison's 10 year old birthday trip-Universal Studios

Day two was Universal Studios and Addison was looking forward to this SO much!
We had never visited this park before and Addison is a humongous Harry Potter fan, she has read all of the books multiple times and seen all the movies.
We got to enjoy the park an hour before it opened and we also had a magic "fast pass" for every ride so it was a great way for her to enjoy the park.

Again...we were the only ones here this early!
We definitely had a plan to hit everything related to Harry Potter at both the Universal Parks before the crowds starting getting bad.  It worked out tremendously and she got to have a lot of fun experiences practically by herself before the crowds got bad.
Addison was so excited and in awe when she saw Diagon Alley and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.  It was really special to see how realistic they made everything, truly awesome for HP fans.

Hagrid's motorbike

Choosing a wand at Ollivanders!

She was performing a spell here using her brand new wand and it caused rain to fall from the umbrella.  They had all sorts of interactive magic throughout the parks to use with her wand.

She found "her people."

Butterbeer!

Platform 9 3/4 at Kings Cross Station!
It was all just so awesome!

We rode the Hogwarts Express of course!

She also loved the rides Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey and Flight of the Hippogriff!
This is about the time Stephen and I turned a little green.  You know what is great about no lines, well...no lines.  You know what is not so great about no lines...the constant back to back riding of roller coasters when you are 42 years old.
We decided to take a little break for our nausea to subside by heading to some other "lands" inside Universal Studios.
We did not want to let Addison know we were feeling nauseous, we still have to pretend we are as young and energetic as ever!!

Minions!

We rode the Espcape from Gringotts ride so many times, she loved it!!!
I had to ride with her by myself this time, poor Stephen needed a break after riding tons of motion simulation rides with he  AND multiple roller coasters!  Including Spiderman, Doctor Doom's Fearfall (which was as bad as it sounds), and Rip Ride Rocket which goes straight down, loops upside down, etc.  I skipped all of those. Addison was raring to go, and was like what is wrong with you two?  Why do you look so pale???

Simpsons!
Stephen and I really enjoyed Skull Island:King Kong and Jurassic Park and of course ET.

The parade was going by which was another great chance for Stephen and I to try to get our eyeballs to stop moving independently of our brain.

Sponge Bob!

Let's ride it again mom and dad!!!

Never short on attitude, this one.

These super heroes, (I do not know who they are), liked my sunglasses so we decided to do a picture.
I was just minding my own business waiting for Stephen and Addison to get off the Spiderman ride when they zoomed up on motorcycles.
This ride!!
Addison loved it and poor Stephen had to ride it multiple times with her!  It looped upside down and she thought it was AMAZING!!
She had such a fun day and loved all the rides but holy smokes, Stephen and I could not have done another day.  We were wiped out and holding back our puke...barely.

I mean, how could you say no to that face??
Happy Birthday Addison Kate!!
