We recently had Addison's 9th Birthday party and the theme was A Movie under the Stars!
The whole family planned this party together and everyone had a hand in making it come together. We thankfully had two "snow days" that week so we had lots of time to work on signs and decorations with all the kids. And thank Jesus in heaven the day of the party warmed up to 67 degrees!
Addison decided to show one of our favorite movies, Up.
She and Amelia had the great idea of the balloons holding up the "9" on the sign like in the movie.
And Stephen was able to make a marquee sign light up which looked so cool when the sun set!
And of course, we needed a red carpet!
Addison was SO excited for this party and had been counting down the days...and the minutes.

This is the concession stand the kids all got to visit before the movie. We also had hot dogs, hot pretzels and coke!

We had an outside movie screen and projector and set up lots of blow up mattresses and even some outdoor heaters to keep them toasty!
They must have been comfy because two kiddos zonked out for part of the movie! Or maybe they were in a sugar coma after all that candy!
Then it was time for singing and cake and ice cream!!
And last but not least, present time!!!
