Happy Easter!

Easter morning always means EARLY mornings and rollers in the girls hair.
Addison and Luke look just a teeny bit more excited than our teenager Amelia about getting up early to look for their Easter baskets.

Once Amelia started searching for her baskets she perked up a bit.

I mean really, nothing says Easter like a giant Emoji turd pool float.
Sigh.  That Easter Bunny.

Too cute!

The girl and their Easter curls.

Handsome Luke.

Pretty Amelia.

Where is Addison's picture?  She pitched a fit, did NOT feel like smiling and stormed back in the house.

A little candy bribery and she rallied.  But she still is a little clenched.

AND...she's back.
 Just like that, smiles again.

Enjoying time with Grandma and Grandpa.
We headed off to Easter Brunch on the beautiful Biloxi back bay and then headed to church.  Amelia sang with the choir and it was a wonderful Easter celebration.
Happy Easter!

Grandma and Grandpa Visit

Grandma Nancy and Grandpa Jon were visiting during our spring break so they got to see all sorts of Easter festivities.
Addison took part in our tennis club's annual egg hunt.

Look at speedy Addison!

We got Grandma out to Horn Island and she was a trooper!
It was a very wavy day but we made it!

We also got to take Grandma to the pool!
(If Grandpa was not seen in the picture, he was probably fishing at my house :) Ha!)

Grandma was getting relaxed at the pool!

Time Machine

Luke's 5th Grade  Connections production was called Time Machine.
This is Luke with his Connections teacher Mr. Estis.
The kids each picked a person in history to research and then wrote a script connecting all the different people, hence Time Machine.
Luke chose to be Harry Truman and he was as cute as can be.

Trapped in a Time Machine!!!

The kids also made an artifact box related to their person in history.

Luke did a great job on all of his lines, we were proud of his performance.
So stinking cute.

Here he is beside Milton Hershey and Wyatt Earp.
It was fun to see how the kids connected all of the different people in history, from Rosa Parks to Helen Keller to Bill Gates.

And yay!  Grandma and Grandpa were in town to see Luke's performance too!
Great job Luke!

New Orleans

I recently chaperoned Luke's 5th grade class trip to New Orleans!  Wow, that was an experience!
Trying to take 100 kids to a place like New Orleans and keep track of them was tricky, but it was a fun day!
Above is when we stopped at the famous Cafe Du Monde for beignets.   The boys were happy and covered in powdered sugar.

We enjoyed the day taking in lots of different historic sites and museums and culture.  Fun day with my boy!  Exhausting but fun!

The next week was 5th grade kickball tournament.
Luke and his teacher, Ms. Tiblier, who just might have been even more intense about the kickball tournament than Luke, ha!
The weird unicorn pony tail Luke is sporting in all of these pictures is done each day by different girls in his class.  Hmm, I don't know how I feel about that situation but Luke loves it!

More Tennis...

Addison recently played in another tennis tournament and although the competition was a little tough, she definitely won the trophy for the cutest tennis outfit!

Amelia kept busy all spring with band competitions, singing in the Worship Arts Ministry (WAM) at church and being part of the Ocean Springs High School Tennis Team.
Amelia and Anna Beth after a victory in doubles against Biloxi High School.

Our junior varsity Greyhounds!
Sofia and Amelia brought home another doubles win.

Proud of Amelia Grace, who was an undefeated 8-0 in her first year on the high school JV team.
Way to go Mimi!
