Merry Christmas 2015

Merry Christmas from the Boskovich Family!
This is very, very early morning after Santa has come for a visit but before the kiddos were awake.
The calm before the storm if you will.

The kids were still a bit bleary eyed because it was early but they were ready to open presents!  Well, Luke was ready and he dragged his sisters out of bed.  Luke is ALWAYS the first one awake.
Addison maybe was just a teeny tiny bit threatened during December with Santa not bringing her anything for Christmas because of naughty behavior (ie EVERY SINGLE DAY).
So as I was video recording them on Christmas morning Addison looked right at me and said, "See Mom!  You said I would be on the naughty list but I'm not!  Look at all the Addison presents!  I was worried when I rounded the corner but then I saw all those presents and I knew they couldn't just be for Amelia!"

Amelia got A LOT of books!  Her absolute favorite thing.  She was so excited!

Addison requested three things from Santa this year:
1. Books
2.  Legos
        3.  Science kit
The only problem occurs that once Addison opens up a new book- the above is what happens.  She becomes completely engrossed in whatever book she is reading.  See the above picture...

Still reading...

What?? Does this not scream Christmas morning to you?  This is what Christmas morning is if you are a 10 year old boy in Mississippi.  Sigh.
Luke was thrilled.  However, I have very few pictures of him after this present opening because he held the gun and wore the mask the rest of the morning.  Maybe it's not called a mask?  A helmet, maybe?
I don't know but watch out squirrels on Lovers Lane.

My Christmas morning with my loves.
Luke armed and dangerous.
Addison, still reading.
Amelia is tidying up the family room.
And Stephen is taking the pictures!

Look who we got to finally open another present?   Look at that stack of books behind her.

And then she went right back to reading.

Luke put this together on Christmas Day!  He is really amazing with Legos.

This is the coolest tree swing.  You ride it like a surf board and it swings side to side.  We ALL love it!  I will try to post some pictures of us on it.

Christmas Joy!

And then we moved on to the living room where all of the family presents have been accumulating.  Thank you to all of our Aunts and Uncles and Cousins and Grandparents and Friends that spoil us rotten.  We miss you all!

Just plain old silliness.
Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas Eve!

Hooray!  Christmas Eve was finally upon us and that meant it was time for our annual Christmas Eve party!  The whole family looks forward to this fun time spent with our church family as we anticipate Christmas Eve church :)

The Christmas curls did not last that long because it was in the 70's this year for Christmas but they were cute for a little while at least.
Addison Kate could hardly wait for her friends to start arriving!

Luke Michael is getting so grown up!

Amelia Grace was my child that made me promise we would have our Christmas Eve party even during our remodel.
So we did!  It is just too fun of a tradition to skip a year.

All set for our 80 guests to arrive!  Merry Christmas!

Nell and I prepared for the party in record time this year.  Pros, that is what we are...Ha!
The Boskovich kids and Driggers kids.  Too cute for words.  And all getting much too old I might add.

The most important tradition-remembering the whole reason we celebrate...our Savior's birth!

Grandpa Steve and Mimi.

And then the chaos began!  Everyone started arriving!
Sarah and Addison Kate friends since birth.  Love.

Friends enjoying soup and chili.  With the air conditioning on at full blast of course.

Only picture I could get of Luke during the party.  He was a full on sweaty, muddy mess by the end of the party.  But this is what all these boys look forward to every year.  Oh what fun!

We always gather all the kids to sing Happy Birthday to Jesus before we enjoy the cake.  It is so sweet and makes me tear up every year.

Amelia and Mckenzie, never too old to be excited for Christmas!  Such sweet friends and sweet girls.

Amelia loves on the babies as much as I do.  Little Mary Charlotte's first Christmas!

Merry Christmas!  We are so thankful for all of our blessings!

We had a quick 20 minutes to get the kiddos cleaned up before church.  And yes, it was warm enough for bare shoulders and bare feet!  Christmas in the south...gotta love it.
Our church has a beautiful tradition on Christmas Eve.  To end the service, the lights are turned off and each person has a candle and we each light the candle of the person next to us until the whole church is filled with candlelight and then we sing Silent Night.  It is so special and brings tears to Stephen's and my eyes every year.
Mckenzie and Amelia were chosen to go down the aisles and light the candles in each row.  Very proud of them, they did a great job.

After a beautiful Christmas Eve service we came home and continued our traditions.  Don our Christmas jammies, put out cookies for Santa and treats for the reindeer and then bribe and threaten the kids to go to sleep so Santa can come!

Band Concert

Amelia had her Christmas band concert.  She is part of the Middle School band and she plays the trumpet!

All of Amelia's "fans" at her concert.  We love you Mimi!

Amelia really loves band and all of her band buddies.
I am impressed every time I go to a band concert and am grateful for great music programs at our schools and that we can still play Christmas songs at our schools and have Christmas trees and Christmas parties!

St. Nicks, Church Pageant and Stephen's 39th Birthday...busy day :)

The kids were anxious to wake up and see what goodies St. Nick had left them!

Grandma and Grandpa joined us for church and then brunch at one of our favorite restaurants.

It was just a teeny bit sunny and bright on the outside deck, ha!  Poor Amelia and Luke could barely open there eyes and Addison did not even join us!  "Too sunny" she said.

We had a couple hours of rest and it was back to church for the sweet Christmas pageant.
This is my 5th year as co-pageant director...we were proud of our kiddos this year.  We had a small choir and it was filled with mostly six year olds but they did a great job retelling the miracle of our Savior's birth with their precious voices.
Me and Little Bit before all of the action.
Warming up our choir kids :)

The whole cast!
Luke was a shepherd, keeping the sheep in line.  Amelia and her youth group friends decorated the fellowship hall, helped prepare dinner and served it to the congregation after the pageant.   I was proud of all of my kiddos that night.

And then FINALLY it was time to celebrate Daddy's birthday!
Happy 39th Birthday Daddy, we love you!!

Lots of Star Wars gear this year:)

We even surprised Daddy with a Star Wars cake!
It was a super fun day with lots to celebrate!
