Swim Upward Bound

Addison and Luke swam with Bubs and Merileigh again this year.  Bubs has been teaching swim for 60 years now and she is very passionate about children becoming great swimmers and being safe in and near the water.  Conveniently for us...they are our next door neighbors so we have an easy commute down Lovers Lane ;)

Addison ready for her turn in the pool.

Luke and his swim team class.

June also brings Vacation Bible School time at our church.  This year the theme was Upward Bound and it was fabulous.  My little campers.

I helped teach the four year olds this year.  We had between 15-20 four year olds for the week and they were wonderful and happy and excited and sweet.  God at work in little hearts, what's not to love.

State Tennis Tournament

My 3.5 tennis team made it to the state tournament this year.  We traveled to Jackson early in June, ready for some big time competition.  We were so excited  just to make it to state, we used it as an excuse for a fun girls weekend and we would happen to fit in a whole lot of tennis!

Our fearless captain Mary Claudia (MC).

Allison and I won our first match of the tournament :)  Allison is one of my partners, a hilarious friend and happens to be Amelia's gifted program teacher.  Gotta love small towns!

The tennis was fun but the happy hours and dinners were awesome.

Day Two.  Ready for action in our orange.

Allison and I scoping out the other team.  We won this match too, yay!

Even better...this is the match were my supporters showed up!  While I was playing in Jackson for my tournament, Amelia was wrapping camp up in the Jackson area as well.  Lucky for me, my husband is awesome and brought all the kiddos to help cheer mommy on.  Addison was so happy to see me, she kept saying, "Cheek to cheek mommy, let's take another picture cheek to cheek."

Made me play even better when I saw these little cheerleaders.

Another "W."

Our team decided to get shirts made this year with our nicknames printed on them.

The shirts were a big hit and we had lots of compliments on them.  We also decided we looked pretty intimidating.  And really, with tennis, it's all about how you look;)

Third day of the tournament.  My awesome serve technique.  Yikes.

Look at that movement on the court!  Awesome:)  This is why I love the south-our opponents name was Poochi or Poozie or something.  I do have a hard time when my southern opponents state the score.  In a southern drawl somehow love, thirty, fifteen, all sound the same.

This little puppy was Addison's best friend during the tournament.

More pictures with my little one.

Jessica and I finished off the tournament with one more win.  Way to go team!  So proud of how we represented the coast:)

Twin Lakes Summer Camp

The day finally came, Amelia got to return to Twin Lakes Summer Camp!  She was counting the days and could not wait to pack up her trunk and head off for more fun and adventure.
Six fun filled days-swimming, kayaking, horse-back riding, hiking, archery, riflery, fun, fun, fun!

These pictures are from the camp website that I had to steal by snapping them with my cell phone.  The camp takes pictures of the kids and it is the only contact we have with the kids until we pick them up.  No phone calls, texts or emails, just snail mail and these pictures.  I would scour all 300 some pictures each morning looking for any glimpse of Amelia, an arm, her hat...anything at all of my Mimi!

Fun in the pool with her best buddy Lizzie.

Giant slip and slide!

Hanging out in the lake and getting bounced off "the blob."

Climbing "the iceberg."

Amelia with her bunkmates and her sweet counselor, Sara.  This camp has been such a blessing, not only is it incredibly fun; but Amelia has grown in her faith each year she attends.  She learns more about personal prayer time with God, devotions are part of the daily camp agenda and the camp has a bible verse and theme each year.  The camp songs are filled with praising God and learning to be a good Christian friend to others.

PICK UP DAY!!!  Luke could NOT WAIT to see Amelia.  Look at that sweet hug.  Luke took it the hardest during Amelia's time at camp.  He wrote her so many letters and drew pictures of the two of them together.  He would write how much he misses her and he can't wait for her to come home.  Sweet boy.  I love his heart.

Little Bit was just as excited to see Amelia!  Look at her sweet, excited smile.

Amelia and Lizzie, love, love, love these girls.

Follow the Yellow Brick Road

We recently attended the Junior Auxiliary (I'm in the south now, for reals people) Spring For Kids Gala.  It was a Wizard of Oz theme and it was remarkable.
All dressed up and practicing my starlet pose.

The decorations throughout the whole event were so fun.  Their was even a giant, spinning tornado!

Church ladies in Emerald City.

Can't forget about my JGo...we actually wear things besides running clothes once in awhile.

Strings and Keys

Recital season has fallen upon us again.  This time the Boskovich family had two performers...Luke on guitar and Amelia on piano.

I told them to put their arms around each other for the picture.  Look at Amelia trying to barely touch Luke's shoulder, as if he is made of snail slime or something.

Right before the concert began, my little performers looked a little nervous.

How cute is this boy with his tiny little guitar?

Luke rocked his performance of "Spanish Theme."

Amelia played absolutely beautifully.  She played "Spanish Guitar" and "Showboat."  We were so proud of the kids and the practice time they put into their instrument.
